When Family Comes to Town

We scored big time over Labor Day weekend and got to have my mom come into town for a few days, followed right by my Dad and stepmom, Mary. I loved every minute of having them here. The transition to Colorado has been fairly easy, but that's because I know that my tight-nit family is there for us no matter what. They came to make sure they'd be able to celebrate the boys' birthdays. Here are a ton of (unedited) photos from our time with family.

Time with my mom:

Max is scared to ride the animals of the carousel. He actually doesn't look all that happy to be on the bench, either. 

My mom is coming back TWICE this month (yay!) to help us celebrate Max's birthday, bring my Grandma here, and with my step sister!

Time with my Dad and Mary:

My dad has a dear friend here who came over for dinner with her 3 daughters - they live about 30 minutes away and I'm hoping to get to photograph her 3 beauties next week!

A gift from my mom for Ben's birthday. Boy, is it put to good use! 

My Dad and Mary won't make it back this month for Max's birthday, so we did a combined party and, I swear, I've NEVER seen Max so excited for presents before in my life. Christmas can't come soon enough.

Yes, I KNOW Christmas isn't about presents. I don't care - I love seeing Max this excited about it - I heart commercialism, what can I say?

My Dad recently got a DSLR camera and has been practicing in manual mode. Here are some cute ones he got of the boys:
