Insta Friday 5/18

I haven't done one of these in SO long. But, I was looking over my iPhone pics and realized just how much they reflect what my life is really all about. Right now. Raw and unedited. I like that.

I totally try to be healthy sometimes.


But, mostly I fail miserably. My hips must not bother me that much.

My yogi accessories (I've been going to yoga about 3 times a week for 3 weeks now!)

Had to buy a new carseat - it was my passenger all day that day.


Max's birthday present (just a few months early... or 5) came!


I'd been hunting for the perfect outfit for some family photos and I think I found it! Ritchie thinks it's too country... what do you guys think?!


I'm using a printing lab and I love the photos I'm getting! This is for my friend Gemma - it's her little guy, Jax. Yes, it's a picture of a picture.

Oh, you know - just another day, NOT another shower...


Same. I seriously look like this most days. If I manage to look better, it's because I either put on a hat or made at least one of my children cry the entire time I got ready.









I've been working on sleep training with Ben and we're really enforcing naps. So, Max and I spend the entire morning nap outside so as not to wake Ben. Which leads to my life...

Some texting before a play date with Gemma - I like how the goals are to keep the kids trapped and avoid scary large play equipment. It's the simple things, really. I love my play date momma friends and how much Max loves their kids! Makes my week.

Insta Friday 4/13

Woot!! Friday, Friday! This Friday will be particularly exciting because we get our BRAND NEW COUCH!!! 9 1/2 years together and it's our first couch purchase. Pottery Barn, of course.

You'll be seeing it on IG, for sure! If you aren't following me on IG go ahead and do it! My user name is maxandbensmom.

1. My book from the gorgeous and wonderful Kelle Hampton arrived!! I read it in one day and want to read it again. She is so honest and heartfelt and makes me want to be a better person.

2. Just Max chillin in the car.

5. I made this peanut butter pie for Easter to take to Ritchie's Grandparents' house. I had a small piece and wish I could tell you it was amazing. It was just eh.

Insta Friday 3/30

I don't know about you guys, but I am pretty freaking excited that it's Friday. We were all sick this week and last week, too and I'm just ready for some R&R and hopefully (Ben willing) some sleep!!

Onward... I haven't done this in a few weeks and I've been horrible about taking instagram photos, so I just included my favorite front he past few weeks.

It's Friday again!! I love that it means the weekend starts tomorrow and I get two full days with my husband home!

Insta Friday 2/10

From top to bottom; left to right:

1. I found this one lovely morning. Max likes to sleep with books and he had torn his beloved airplane book to smithereens.

2. Max is always asking to "do a project wif mommy" and by that he means be given access to candy and frosting and ice cream cones.

3. Ben. Chunker. Drooler. Love.

4. I got a fresh cut and color last weekend. NOTHING feels better than being salon ready all day.

5. Except maybe a dip in the hot tub in February. Our weather has been amazing!

6. Max hanging with Grandma and Grandpa.

7. Lemons. Make lemonade. Oh wait, too much sugar.

8. I watched New Girl on Hulu. Love me some Zooey Deschanel.

9. Almond butter.... *drool*

10. Tried some hairspray guaranteed to hold curls. It made me look like a lion and an hour later my hair was pretty flat. FAIL.

11. Cute new CA map for the boys' room.

12. Ben likes to eat my face.

13. Bennett reached out and grabbed Max's arm. And I fell into a puddle on the floor. I cannot wait to see their relationship develop.

14. Max likes to watch this man play the guitar on You Tube. He wouldn't even watch Flash Mobs with me. Rude.

15. Potty training!

16. Healthy meals are the new norm around here and it feels damn good.

I hope you all had a wonderful week! I, personally, am very happy to have this week over! We have date night on Saturday (just bringing the wee one out while Max goes to his preschool for pizza and Christmas movies!) and it's our 9 year dating anniversary. Hopefully, as a gift, our children let us sleep some.
